The event begins Sunday evening with a welcome dinner at the Pine Inn’s restaurant, Il Fornaio.

The next two days we will meet at the Pine Inn's Ocean Room for the trainings. A buffet lunch is included both days.

We will close-out the event with a farewell dinner on Tuesday evening. Food & lodging details below.

Meet & Greet with your hosts, Ron & Lacey and other attendees for a casual dinner in the Il Fornaio’s Sunset Room.

Monday, October 12

8:30am - Day 1 Training Begins

12:00pm – Buffet lunch will be served in the Il Fornaio restaurant

4:30pm – Conclusion of Day 1 - You're free to explore the town and rest up for Day 2. Let us know if you need dinner recommendations!

Tuesday, October 13

8:30am - Day 2 Training Begins

12:00pm – Buffet lunch will be served in the Il Fornaio restaurant

4:30pm – Conclusion of Day 2

6:00pm - 9:00pm Farewell dinner just a few blocks away at Grasing's rooftop deck.


Carmel by-the-Sea is a quaint, seaside town located on the Monterey peninsula of central California. 

Known for its fairy-tale-like cottage homes, charming shops, art galleries and restaurants. And plenty of natural beauty all around.

True to its uniqueness, there are NO addresses in downtown Carmel!

The Pine Inn is one of the first structures built in Carmel, CA and remains a landmark to this day. Located in the heart of town on Ocean Avenue and just a few blocks from the beach.



San Jose Airport (SJC) is the nearest national airport about 1 hr 20 mins away without traffic.

Monterey Regional Airport (MRY) is the nearest local airport about 15 minutes away and is serviced by Alaska, Allegiant, American and United airlines with non-stop flights to San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Denver, Phoenix, Las Vegas and Dallas.

San Francisco (SFC) and Oakland (OAK) airports are approximately 1 hr 50 mins away without traffic.


There are no addresses in Carmel-by-the-Sea!

Heading South on Highway 1 you will make a Right turn to Carmel onto Ocean Avenue, it's about 1.5 miles after the exit for 399A Pebble Beach. The sign for Carmel is small so keep an eye out!

Then continue down Ocean Ave. The Pine Inn is on Ocean Ave between Lincoln Street and Monte Verde Street. Approximately 0.7 miles West from Hwy 1, on the right hand side.

Car Rental and Car Service

For transportation from the airport we recommend either renting a car from one of the major national car rental companies or using Monterey Airbus which offers group and private airport transportation to and from Carmel.

Once you’re in Carmel you won’t need a car to get to the restaurants or the training event if you’re staying at the Pine Inn or nearby. They’re all within a few blocks walking distance.


You’re welcome to book a room anywhere you’d like, however for convenience and a taste of old world charm, we recommend the Pine Inn which has newly renovated rooms.

Upon booking, tell the Front Desk you’re with the “Appraisers Success Group”. A block of rooms have been set aside for our group at a discounted rate of $189/night + tax.

For guests staying at the Pine Inn, a buffet breakfast is offered Monday-Friday and in your room stay. Breakfast is served from 8:00am to 10:00am.

Guests not staying at the Pine Inn may purchase the buffet breakfast for $15.00. Some other hotels offer breakfast included in their stay as well.

Materials & Recording Provided

You don't need to bring any materials to the training. You will be provided with a binder, example reports, pencils, paper and all attendees will receive the recording of the training as soon as the editing is complete.
