About Your Instructor

Hi, I'm Ron Maloney

I’ve been teaching appraisers online since 2014, when I launched my first Appraisal Review program.

At the time, I had many years working for myself from home doing desktop reviews. It gave me the freedom and independence I wanted, and came with much lower expenses than working out in the field.

I began teaching because I knew if other appraisers understood this side of the business better, and got past the misconceptions, that they too could make a great living and enjoy a great lifestyle too, using the appraisal experience they already have.

Today I coach Appraisers from all across the country, who have wide and varied backgrounds to add another income stream doing desktops, earn a full-time income or even supplement their retirement.

In 2021, I averaged over $12k per month doing desktop valuations - mostly reviews, desktop appraisals and some quality control work.

And this is a major reason why my programs have been so successful; I am "elbows-up" in this work everyday and I teach using reports I’ve completed, not from theory or hypotheticals.

Now that I'm entering my 8th year of teaching and coaching, I've honed my process even more into my newest training, the Desktop Valuation Business and Lifestyle Event 3.0!

I taught the first Desktop Valuation Blueprint in May 2018, to an in-person group of Appraisers, in the beautiful town of Carmel, CA. It was a great experience and even have some of those members attending this training too because they learned so much and had such a good time.

The Desktop Valuation Business and Lifestyle Training 3.0 is my step-by-step process for doing efficient, quality desktop reviews and desktop appraisals so you can have a long-term, highly profitable desktop business.

If you would like to gain the skills to do desktop work - add an additional income stream to your business, transition to doing desktop valuations full-time just like I did… or even supplement your retirement… don't miss out on this training!

What Appraisers have said about my programs:

I am about half way through Day 1. I am printing out the reports so I have them in front of me while watching the video again. Still working on shifting my focus to 'just risk factors' instead of all areas - like I have been reviewing the past 25 years! Thanks again.

Fantastic educational experience. Planned, and taught by truly caring individuals. Thank you Ron & Lacey. We are now ready to embrace our futures as Real Estate Appraisers throughout the United States.

Don P - CA

I think one of your greatest strengths as an instructor is your candid straight talk. Nobody else does that. The insight I gain from your straight talk is powerful.

Rob G - NY

I just wanted to thank you for the seminar and all you hard work.  As I was doing my assignments , the training was kicking in. Thank You for taking your time to continue to train us, provide us with good clients, advocate for us and support us. That makes all the difference to our success.

Terrie P - FL

I was going to retire but miss the money and keeping my mind active.  This could be very nice working from home, doing something I really enjoy.  The program you have put together is really good and I feel very comfortable with the examples you provided along with all of the commentary. Incidentally, regarding the call last week, it never before occurred to me that I don't really know the condition of comps and that's one reason to reconcile on more than one comparable. Thanks for everything.

Ida F - FL

I wanted to say how much I have enjoyed and learned from your program. Seeing the appraisal through the eyes of a reviewer has been a great learning experience so not only have I learned about reviews and desktop products but I am learning how to be a better appraiser.

Antonia D - CA

Exceeded all my expectations!

Bart T - FL

Can’t wait to really get involved in this business! And thank you for all the training. I feel well prepared.

Karen P - NV

What time is the live-stream?

For both days:
We'll begin at 8:30am Eastern (5:30am Pacific). We'll conclude at 4:30pm Eastern (1:30pm Pacific).
There will be a couple 15 minute breaks and an hour break at 12:00pm Eastern (9:00am Pacific).

Note: Tony Pistilli's presentation will take place Sunday at 10:30am Eastern (7:30am Pacific).

How do I access the live broadcast?

You will be sent your unique access details the day prior to the training. If you need any help, you may email or speak to our support staff available throughout the training.

Can I attend the training in-person?

Unfortunately, we have already sold-out of all available in-person seats.

Can I get CE credits for this?

Sorry, CE credit is not available for this course. I would have to charge much more for this course to submit CE applications in all states. Until the process becomes more streamlined for smaller institutions, it's not currently feasible.

Why should I take your program? Shouldn't I just take a CE course instead?

This is a different kind of course, one that is practical and not theoretical in nature. Aside from teaching, I have a very busy appraisal practice of my own. I teach using my own reports as examples so my course is hands-on and not based off of hypotheticals. Also, my main purpose is to teach other Appraisers to make a good living doing these types of desktop valuations from home, not to just learn more, but to learn how to take these actionable steps and apply it to your daily appraisal practice.
